A Couple Musical Notes
Shout out to everyone who came to enjoy the Alternative Soul Tour (part one) on July 31. All of the talent was top shelf. Locals Terri Showers, Michelle Moseley, Niko and the School House Stomp Steppers and Drum Corps represented the best of Atlantic City’s home town talent.
I invite everyone to come back this Sunday (Aug. 17, 7pm) to Kennedy Plaza on the A.C. Boardwalk. The showcase will feature local singer and Miss Atlantic City winner Sasha Stevenson, the band Longfellow as well as performers from Philadelphia and North Jersey.

76ERS TO HONOR PHILLY’S OWN PATTI LABELLE AND MUSIQ SOULCHILD ON FEBRUARY 20
The Philadelphia 76ers will honor two renowned Philadelphia musicians for their positive work in the community, as the organization recognizes Patti LaBelle as the “76ers Hometown Hero Award” and presents Musiq Soulchild with the “76ers Gamble and Huff Humanitarian Award” on Wednesday, February 20 when they take on the New York Knicks.
To celebrate the festive evening, “Patti’s Boom Boom Choir,” the group coached by LaBelle on NBC’s Clash of the Choirs, will perform during the Macy’s Halftime Show.
LaBelle will personally receive the award at the Wachovia Center at the end of the first quarter for her commitment to charitable causes and community outreach through her significant philanthropic efforts in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
